I would like to invite the people of Asheville and surrounding areas to please help support the people of Haiti. Don't buy that latte or mocha today or maybe skip going out and use that money to help Oxfam or other international agencies.

Oxfam staff in Haiti is continuing to provide for urgent water and sanitation needs in the capital, Port-au-Prince. The international aid agency is also sending additional humanitarian response specialists and communications officers, who will be available for media in Port-au-Prince.

Oxfam spokesman Louis Belanger reports from Port-au-Prince: Despite city-wide fuel shortages threatening to stall delivery, "Coordination is improving and a lot of aid is coming through." Oxfam delivered 8,000 gallons of water to two areas of Port-au-Prince Sunday, and is looking at expanding water delivery to new areas of the city and to the southwest near the epicenter of the earthquake.
